This Privacy Policy forms an integrated subsection of the broader Terms of Use governing this web workspace. Structural identifiers across this document (including "we", "our", "us", and "Website") mirror the precise definitions configured inside our Terms framework.

You retain full capability to navigate this ecosystem without exposing your identity or inputting any private identifiers. Our infrastructure servers record standard, non-personal analytical metadata—including anonymized IP addresses, browser types, and device configurations—strictly to audit layout accessibility and optimize user experience metrics.

Voluntary Registration

When you deliberately interact with core form elements (such as registering for certified Gatekeeper Training programs, applying for field volunteer tracks, or processing inquiry fields on our contact layouts), specific personally identifiable data blocks are safely transmitted. This metadata can include your name, contact email, phone parameter, and institutional background, processed exclusively to complete your explicit workflow request.

All data routed into our non-profit operations is managed strictly under the following functional scopes:

Note on External Routing: As stated across our Disclaimers, SPIF does not own, run, or audit any emergency crisis helplines listed inside our directories. Selecting an outbound dial line or navigating away to an external URL completely transfers your tracking loop outside our jurisdiction, where data metrics are governed by those respective third-party policies.

Our engineering architecture deploys multiple data encryption measures to securely process and isolate your personal information whenever you enter or access profile items.

We strictly enforce a permanent policy prohibiting the sale, barter, trading, or un-consented transfer of your personally identifiable metadata to outside commercial networks.

This restriction completely excludes trusted infrastructure handlers who cooperate directly to keep our web environment operating smoothly (such as verified payment processing nodes or our secure cloud server clusters), under absolute legal boundaries mandating strict data confidentiality. We reserve rights to share data exclusively when legally compelled to protect human life, complete statutory reporting requirements, or preserve user physical safety parameters.

To verify the geographic reach of our non-profit public campaigns, assess platform scale, and compile essential data for programmatic grants funding, this site coordinates with Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Google Ads Tracking Engine frameworks. These systems utilize cookies to securely capture baseline technical footprint trends in an aggregated, anonymous space.

Because our foundation serves individuals navigating vulnerable crisis scenarios, we strictly prohibit the application of behavioral remarketing pixels or personalized ad targeting loops across our digital footprint. You will never be tracked with ads across the internet because you visited an immediate support node here. Data points are aggregated in bulk solely to analyze which content engines assist communities most efficiently.

You maintain complete operational control over your client footprint. You can safely change your browser preferences to block third-party cookies or natively run the official Google Analytics Opt-out Add-on to completely isolate your data from GA4 systems.

policy 6. Your Rights Under the DPDP Act

The Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 became binding law when the DPDP Rules were notified on 14 November 2025. Under it, you have the following rights over the personal data we hold about you.

• Access. Ask what personal data we hold about you, and what we have done with it.
• Correction. Ask us to correct anything inaccurate, or complete anything missing.
• Erasure. Ask us to delete it, where we are not required by law to keep it.
• Withdraw consent. As easily as you gave it. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything done before you withdrew it.
• Nomination. Nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf if you die or become incapacitated.
• Grievance redressal. Complain to us first, and to the Data Protection Board of India if our answer does not satisfy you.

Write to contact@spif.in, marked for the attention of the Grievance Officer. We respond within 30 days. If we need to confirm who you are before acting, we will ask for the least that achieves it.

schedule 7. How Long We Keep Things

We do not keep personal data indefinitely because it might one day be useful.

• Enquiries and correspondence. Deleted within 12 months of the conversation ending, unless it forms part of an ongoing programme.
• Newsletter subscriptions. Held until you unsubscribe, then removed.
• Donations. Retained for as long as Indian tax and accounting law requires, currently eight years.
• Analytics. Aggregated and anonymised. Not linked to you, and not used to identify you.

child_care 8. Children and Young People

Much of what we publish is written for students, and some of our readers are under 18. That places specific obligations on us under the DPDP Act, and we take them seriously.

• We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18 without verifiable parental consent.
• We do not use tracking or behavioural advertising directed at children. Our analytics measure which pages are read, not who reads them.
• Every resource on this site can be read without giving us any personal information at all.

Where a school or college engages us for a programme, that institution is responsible for obtaining parental consent, and we process the data only on its instructions.

emergency_home 9. If Something Goes Wrong

If personal data we hold is breached, we will notify the Data Protection Board of India and every affected person. That notice will describe what happened, what it could lead to, what we have done about it, and what you can do to protect yourself.

This site is static. It has no database, no login and no user accounts, which is a deliberate choice: the less we hold, the less there is to lose.
