Niranjan Ramamurthy
Technical Architect & Data Strategist
Niranjan's involvement with SPIF traces back to his time at Yahoo Bangalore, where he worked alongside SPIF founder Nelson. When the foundation was first established, Niranjan stepped in to handle the technical heavy lifting — navigating the TechSoup validation, securing Google for Nonprofits status, and engineering the initial Google Ad Grants architecture that connects people in crisis to live helplines.
Recently, he teamed up with Nelson again to completely overhaul the foundation's digital infrastructure. To make the platform faster, more secure, and highly resilient for users on low-end devices and poor networks, Niranjan migrated the SPIF website away from a heavy WordPress setup to a clean HTML, CSS, and JavaScript architecture hosted on Azure Static Web Apps.
Professional Work & Accessibility
In his primary professional capacity, Niranjan directs Adostrophe. While the agency is best known for delivering commercial Matterport 3D virtual tour scanning services in India for the enterprise and hospitality sectors, Niranjan ensures his technical resources remain accessible to the social sector. He provides heavily subsidised web development and search marketing services to non-profits globally, allowing them to manage their own digital footprint effectively.
Data & Social Impact Projects
Outside of agency work, his focus shifts to data and engineering for social impact. Currently pursuing an M.Sc. in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence at BITS Pilani, Niranjan develops independent tools aimed at levelling the digital playing field. His recent pilot projects include Finostrophe, a gamified app designed to improve financial literacy in India, and Ecostrophe, a suite of developer tools engineered to help blind and visually impaired programmers code without friction.
